Frances and Pat first connected over music, a shared passion, as they’re both audiophiles, and Pat is a sax player. He was immediately impressed by her audio engineering skills, and their bond continued to grow with a shared love of coffee, motorcycles, and eventually, their sweet pup, Harley.
Both fun spirited and funny individuals, it was truly a joy to get to know these two and to be with them on their wedding day.
On their wedding day, Frances chose a beautiful, vintage inspired updo, and she and Pat exchanged letters as they got ready at The French Country Inn on Lake Como in Lake Geneva, WI.
Frances gifted her bridesmaids with adorable blue robes to complement their blue and yellow summer floral color scheme.
Having kept her dress a secret, we did a reveal to her bridesmaids after hair and makeup, and they were in love! (Obviously, her intricate lace gown was exquisite!)
Surrounded by friends and family, the couple enjoyed a leisurely start to the day, complete with champagne, coffee, and lots of laughter.
Pat chose a rather classic black suit and bowtie look, and was surrounded by his brother as well as Frances brothers as he got ready upstairs.
When he was ready, we did a little groomsmen reveal…
Meanwhile, Frances and her family finished getting dressed together.
And Pat’s sweet mother helped him get his boutonniere on before his first look with Frances.
When the couple was ready, they met for their first look, lakeside.
These two were pretty much pure magic, laughter, love, and snuggles the whole time!
After a few family portraits and bridal party portraits, we packed up and headed to downtown Lake Geneva to hop on The Grand Belle of the Lake Geneva Cruise Line’s fleet.
But first, we had to grab a few fun shots on the docks near the Riviera Ballroom.
Then it was onto The Grand Belle as their guests began to arrive!
The ceremony was beautiful, backlit and glowing as we road off in the direction of the sunset…
The evening continued with heartfelt speeches, dinner, and dancing.
And what better way to end this beautiful summer wedding than with the very last edition of a long honored Lake Geneva tradition: The Richard Driehaus Birthday Fireworks Show.
For those of us who live here, this was a beautiful, poignant event, and I was so grateful to experience it with such a wonderful couple in such a magical way.
Cheers to you, Frances + Pat!
I hope the past year has brought you a whole new level of closeness and appreciation for each other. I know life will lead you on many adventures, and that they’ll always be filled with genuine tenderness and a lot of great tunes!
♥,
Jen
